What You’ll Learn
- Patience. Take your time with this one. Unlike most of my drawings, there isn’t much room for error.
- Beards. While the beards might appear challenging, they were the easiest part of this drawing. I will show you how.
- Contour Lines. Much of your success with this drawing will depend on the acuracy of the veins or contour lines that run through the petals. They give shape and provide the reference point for shadows and highlights. I would recommend tracing them as closely as possible in your initial outline. I was much more careful when I drew this the second time and I still didn’t get it quite right.
- Tip: Watch the Bonus Video before you start this drawing. I shared all of the things that I learned from drawing this the first time and what I changed when I drew it the second.
