Hello! Welcome to the Artichoke Still Life Colored Pencil Tutorial series!
This is the first drawing in a series of 3 Summer Still Life Drawings.
This is an Intermediate/Advanced Drawing.
In this series, I demonstrate several different real-time sections and the rest of the drawing is shown in a timelapse format with voiceover.
I used several different brands of pencils here. For those of you (most of you) who don’t have all of the pencils I am using, just pick the colors you have that are closest to the reference. You really don’t need all of these colors to create a beautiful drawing.
This was drawn on Rising Museum Mount Board using Prismacolor, Faber-Castell Polychromos, Derwent Drawing and, Derwent Lightfast Colored Pencils. The pencil was blended with Utrecht NOOD, Odorless Paint Thinner.
This tutorial series includes a link to my reference image, line drawing/outline, a supplies list, a pencil list and 6 video-based lessons.
You will need to to be a member over on Patreon in order to access the modules but you can scroll down to watch a quick timelapse progress video for free.
Click on any of the links below to find the module you want to watch.
Have fun!
