Prep. I do a lot of prep work in my drawings before I start adding color. This includes indenting the paper for veins and details and protecting the highlights with a waxy, white layer. The key is to learn what you need to do before adding color because it isn’t possible to complete these steps later in the process.
Contour. Learn how to give shape to the cherries using a combination of contour indentations, shadow, and highlight.
