What You’ll Learn
Value. Don’t be afraid to go dark in those shadows!
Beards. While the beards might appear challenging, they were the easiest part of this drawing.
Contour Lines. Much of your success with this drawing will depend on the accuracy of the veins or contour lines that run through the petals. They give shape and provide the reference point for shadows and highlights.
As you are drawing, be aware of the ways you are using the experience you have gained from drawing to work through difficult sections.
